Good News Wine Bar

Good News Wine is a Sacramento wine and food bar with a nostalgic, diner-style feel. This unique take on a traditionally fussy beverage is meant to broaden the appeal of wine drinking and to create a local hub for people to stay, talk and enjoy a wide range of tasting experiences.

An Iconic Symbol, A Playful Tone

Good News Wine came to us with a unique vision for a California wine bar that we were very excited to get behind. The bar would intentionally lack pretension, seriousness and exclusion and instead celebrate an immense amount of nerdy enthusiasm for wine while providing its community with a diner-meets-cafe-stay-all-day kinda spot. Such a novel concept deserved an equally novel look and feel that all started with the brand’s logo β€” an intentionally quirky, hand-drawn mark that nods to the β€œcharm” of the 50s. A re-imagined paper boy who is eager to share the good news about wine.

Interior Design

The owner was kind enough to trust us with the interior design direction as well. From wall and ceiling tiles to sourcing a really one-of-a-kind wallpaper from Jupiter 10, we had a blast getting to bring the brand vision into an interactive and inviting environment.

Merch Design

Like many old dining establishments, we wanted to offer an array of nostalgia-inducing branded merch such as enamel pins, vintage tees, diner mugs and more.

This is no ordinary tote, it’s a tote designed specifically for carrying wine bottles. Inside the bag are four custom size bottle sleeves and a pocket for carrying your wine key and bottle stoppers.
